The festive season is here and this month, instead of focusing on one business for our December Business of the Month, we’d like to share some of our previous businesses of the month as a handy Scary Little Christmas gift shopping guide! âš
All these businesses are ones we love, that we have shopped with, worked with and in some cases, tested products for. We hope you love filling people’s stockings with these feel good treats!
For skincare, meet 34.4 and Pure Nuff Stuff. 34.4 are a London based natural skincare brand creating products for body, face and hair. We love that their skincare products are handmade, in small batches, with premium natural ingredients and that they are tested on friends rather than animals. Their Gift Jar would make an exciting introduction to their range. Pure Nuff Stuff sell wonderful pure and natural, small batch skincare products that have been made in our home county of Cornwall. We just adore their Bump-Rub oil for mums to be, and these two After Shave Balms smell good enough to eat (but don’t, obvs).
For the foodies. We are huge fans of both I AM NUT OK and Sasparella Vegan Deli and we want to move into Meera Sodha’s test kitchen! I AM NUT OK ‘s philosophy is to be âmore daring than dairyâ – addictive like cheese, but even better! Furnish your festive table with some Zalmon – Vegan Smoked ‘Salmon’ or rock the cheeseboard with their Deluxe or Gourmet Festive selections – available to order now for delivery nearer the big day. If you’re in Cornwall, Sasparella take orders until 10pm on Thursday nights for Friday doughnut delivery – why not order a box for Friday 13th or 20th, to mark a last day in the office? Finally, our heroine Meera Sodha has a new book out, featuring 120 recipes for vegan and vegetarian Dinner – and we want to eat every single bit of it.
Buying for bookworms? Say hello to The History Press – the UKâs largest dedicated history publisher. They publish across a broad range of topics and periods, covering the exceptional people, places and events that have shaped our lives today – including Out of The Darkness, a book celebrating the Greenham Women, pioneers of peaceful protest, by our own Artistic Director Rebecca Mordan. And last, but certainly not least, meet The Literary Emporium – a treasure trove of gifts to delight the book lovers in your life! Started by Rio, and now run in collaboration with her mum, husband and baby, The Literary Emporium focuses on classic literature, with a strong leaning towards female authors and characters. As the creators of The Full BrontĂ«, our pick has to be their BrontĂ« Collection! We adore these stunning pin badges, and this Jane Eyre T-Shirt.
Other gift ideas include vouchers for summer 2025 shows at Penlee Park Theatre, oils, potions and witchy delights from Witch In The Wilderness, a 10 session circus skills booking, or donation in someone’s name to Cornish Circus Arts and Physical Theatre wonders Cirk Hes.
Which of these will you choose? We wish you very happy festive shopping!
