Fans of Salon de la Vie will remember that Artistic Director Becca often spoke to us from the Bibliobar – we’re all big fans of stories and books here at Team Scary, so when we found them we were enchanted!
Started by Rio, and now run in collaboration with her mum, husband and baby, The Literary Emporium focuses on classic literature, with a strong leaning towards female authors and characters. Shakespeare’s heroines and Jane Austen feature in a collection so packed with bookish gifts that we almost don’t know where to start. However, as the creators of The Full Brontë, it has to be their Brontë Collection! We adore these stunning pin badges, and this Jane Eyre T-Shirt.
Autumn is the season for cosy socks and their range includes Alice in Wonderland, Gothic Literature, Book Lovers, and their own Midnight Readers Club styling – that Club also offers a delicious Brass Bookmark and Reading Journal, for those of us who will go to sleep soon, honest. We could also use the Just One More Chapter Bookmark because, really, there’s always time for one more chapter – right?
We’re going to say it – they have a yummy festive bookshelf Christmas card among their card range, and their selection of notebooks and prints is right on point. They also offer Gift Sets and Gift Vouchers – and frankly, simply browsing the shop is a pleasure in itself!
