Say hello to our latest Cocktail of the Month! This month, we’re treating ourselves to a delicious warm spiced gin!
Here, Artistic Director Rebecca Mordan shares how to make this drink:
“This is another hot one because it’s still stormy and we need comfort! But I thought I’d sneak some vitamin C in, while also tipping my hat to our boozy foremothers with this spiced hot gin!
Gently warm a good quality orange juice (or some freshly squeezed if you can be bothered) in a pan, and add the spices of your choice. I’ve cheated, which I highly recommend, and added them from this delicious Knoops powdered spice bag, a really lovely blend for hot chocolate, buttered rums or this simple little beauty.
Mix the powered spices into the warm juice in the pan and get it to a comforting, warm temperature. Pour into the drinking vessel of your choice and add some gin. A dash of orange bitters won’t go amiss if you have them, plus a squeeze of fresh orange and pop the rind in the hot mixture – wouldn’t want any of you getting scurvy!
Enjoy x”
