Calling all Cornish actors, writers, and creatives – enter the 1st year of the Cornwall Monologue Competition today to showcase your on screen acting talent!
Swashbuckling Cornwall are inviting professional or amateur performers who are over 18 and live in Cornwall to send in monologues showcasing your acting skills. Your monologues need to be between 1-4 minutes, they can be specifically written for this competition or written for something else. There is no theme for this competition so what your monologue is about is your decision. It could be comical, sad, dramatic, passionate etc.
On the afternoon of Saturday 5th October there will be a screening/awards event at The Poly in Falmouth. Those shortlisted will be offered tickets to attend.
Important information:
- They must be filmed in one continuous take.
- They must feature only one performer – no off screen voices, no additional actors (silent or not).
- They must run for between 1 to 4 minutes.
- Must be in English or Cornish (Cornish Monologues must have English subtitles).
- Must be shot in landscape.
- You must own the copyright or have person to use any script or footage.
- You can enter as many times as you wish.
You do NOT need to be a professional actor to enter.
