We are delighted to introduce Kezia Dwyer, who has joined us as a General Manager. Kezia will focus on organising plans, calendars, schedules and information centrally and we are just thrilled that she’s here!
“Hi I’m Kezia!
I’m a documentary filmmaker and I’ve just graduated from my masters in Directing Documentary at The National Film and Television School. I’ve been fortunate enough to travel the world working in film and television. This journey has included working on community outreach for the New Zealand International Film Festival, handling grants for marginalised filmmakers at the Tribeca Institute in New York, eating too much cake while working on Bake Off The Professionals in the UK and coordinating visuals effects on Star Wars’ spaceships and dinosaurs for Jurassic World in Vancouver, Canada.
I met Becca a couple of years ago through a friend and first started working with SLG as part of the Greenham Women Everywhere project; using my documentary skills to interview women about their experiences of Greenham. Meeting Becca, and the wonderful team which makes up SLG, felt like coming into the fold of an incredibly talented, inspiring and kind group of creatives. I was lucky enough to secure various jobs with the company while studying for the past couple of years on my masters. Now that I’ve graduated I am developing my own directorial documentary work and am very excited to start more permanently with SLG in the role of General Manager.
I am eager to bring my experience in production coordinating, research, account management and producing into the role, as well as being able to focus fully on the artistic world of women. In my documentaries I always find myself drawn to the experiences of women, and so working with SLG and being able to help bring more of these stories to life is a wonderful opportunity I can’t wait to get stuck into!”
