Well, thank you big time for sticking with us and watching the clean pre-record we FINALLY managed to get up last week for our last Salon on Women in Myths!
Lots of this tech rollercoaster has been fascinating, I’m loving the messaging I get round the Salons, working with 92 Minutes and Animorph on the Greenham VR world, even the video meetings where everyone turns their cameras off to save bandwidth I’m fond of and amused by! But there are also times when I just don’t know who I am any more; who I seem to be now is someone who knows the upload as well as the download speed of their internet…until lockdown I didn’t even know there was such a thing as upload speeds!
Anyway, the feedback I’m getting about the Salons is that you all seemed to like the pre record, because to be fair you could actually view it. So here’s what we are thinking – that we will pre record for at last the last two Salons of this season and they will still go out at 7.30pm on Wednesday 3rd and Wednesday 17th June and I will be on the message board in real time watching them with you (trying not to wince at every bum chord or misplaced bit of banter!). That way we can chat and hopefully it will still feel pretty intimate and I can answer any questions too – and we can of course raise a glass together and join in the toast of our times ‘Push Hearts!”
I’m really interested in any other ideas you may have to improve the quality of the experience.
