StorySmiths: Radical Readings

The Old Church, Stoke Newington

8pm, Saturday 14th March

Allow us to stimulate your senses in this intimate evening of storytelling, celebrating the relationship between cocoa nibs and radical literature! Just as chocolate and radical writing used to be enjoyed in salons of the elite, this evening held in celebration of International Women’s Day will fuse literature, performance and tasty treats!

We will introduce you to some new and little known literary fire-brands, side by side with such heroines of print as Rebecca West, Jeanette Winterson and, of course, local legend Mary Wollstonecraft.

StorySmiths events have enjoyed sell out success at the Port Eliot, Brighton and du Maurier literary festivals. The Scotsman hailed them as “unforgettable” and storyteller Rebecca Mordan as “resplendent”.

Tickets are just £8 and they’re on sale now through The Old Church.

“The audience lapped up the opportunity to hear such wonderfully chosen, risqué and fascinating literary pieces, wound together so charmingly by Rebecca…” The Oxford Mail

“Everyone is talking about Scary Little Girls, are they worth they hype? Yes!”  The Independent
