This month, Artistic Director Rebecca Mordan is sharing a simple, warm and delicious cocktail as we enter winter!
To make this drink you will need:
-
- Sloe gin
- Fresh local apple juice
- Festive spices of your choice
- Cinnamon stick
“It’s a simple one this month, as the nights get longer and chillier we are suggesting mulled apple with sloe gin BUT this hangs on getting *really* good apple juice and *really* good sloe gin.
We put this together on our last trip to the Isles of Scilly when we went back to see the wonderful Grace of Westward Farm and talked to her sister in law Niki about their regional sloe gin. Only one batch of this gin is made per year so be quick to grab yours before it sells out!
Pair this or any lovely sloe gin of your choice with a fresh local apple juice (or juice your own), then heat this with some festive spices in a pot, for as long as you can be bothered (minimum 20 to 40 mins on a very low heat). Then, pop it into a mug with a cinnamon stick and as much sloe gin as you like!
If this runs a little sweet for your taste we suggest a squeeze of lime to the mulling process – enjoy! Xxx”
