Let’s say hello to Luva Huva – our November Business of the Month

Our November Business of the Month is a gorgeous, ethical, UK based lingerie brand.

We’ve recently discovered Luva Huva, which creates beautiful, ethical lingerie and sleepwear, both in small, seasonless collections and handmade to order, right here in the UK.

We’re in love! Everything about this thoughtfully built business speaks to us – how wonderful is this? ‘These garments are your most intimate, sitting flush with your skin day and night. You deserve to know what goes in them.”

Founded by Joanna in 2004, their first product was a single pair of handsewn knickers. Today, Luva Huva make bras – from cotton comfies to lightweight loveliness, knickers, babydoll sets, nighties and slips, PJs and shorts. They also offer a maternity collection and a few carefully chosen gifts.

The standard bra size range offered on the website shop runs from an A to an E cup, and their knickers and shorts are available from XS (4-6) to L (16-18) with a bespoke offer available across the site – potential shoppers are invited to ‘contact us for custom sizing’ which is a boon for anyone between sizes or outside their standard range.

There are too many products to share individually and we’re a bit ‘kid in a candy shop’ excited – a few of our favourites include their Emily bra in soft pink  and the confetti fabric and this gorgeous, vintage feeling sea green Sylvia long line bralette. Honestly, how stunning are they?

The fabrics used are chosen to feel good and do good. Back in 2004, vintage fabrics were the starting point, to which they have now added bamboo and organic cotton to meet growing demand. All are sustainable, recycled or upcycled, skin friendly and super soft – a real dream.

Now – a note on pricing. There are no two ways about this. Luva Huva pricing will be out of reach for some people and it may well raise an eyebrow for others. We believe that the pricing is absolutely fair for what you get and for the world we want to live in, where individual creatives can produce beautiful, well made, sustainable things, and be paid for doing it. If you’re trying to live a life of ‘fewer better things’, why not let Luva Huva be part of that?

Luva Huva say, “This is lingerie for each and every body, lingerie to see you through many years to come.” We love what they do – and we hope you do too.
