Cocktail of the Month – White Gold

This month’s cocktail, White Gold, is named after Olive Gold, also known as Scary Little Girls’ associate artist Alice Robinson. Artistic Director Rebecca Mordan made it with Olive when practicing a ukulele and violin Britney Spears medley that they performed at the London Mayven this month!

Here, Becca shares how to make this summer treat:

“Mix the cooled hot chocolate, vanilla, milk and cream hard in a cocktail shaker over ice. Top tip – when you make the hot chocolate, put in a little more powder than you usually would for a cup. The flavour is going to have to hold its own against spirits and will also not taste as strong when cold.

This cold white chocolate and vanilla mix is now the base for a variety of spirits depending on your taste. Olive and I had it shaken up with bourbon and decaf coffee liqueur. You can use real caf, but if I have it I immediately go to sleep for ten minutes, wake up and cry, then manically laugh and dance for five minutes, then don’t sleep again for a week! Those around me have assured me it’s not worth it for me to get down with.

Other possibilities are a really good quality vodka, I’d recommend Holy Grass as it’s natural vanilla undertones will pair perfectly or a dry spiced white or golden rum, either work really well. And there you go – a summer pudding cocktail in a glass, charming!”
