We’re excited to be auditioning young people who are part of the Minack Academies for our Autumn run of Duffy Beats the Devil at at Penlee Park on the 10th July!
The Minack Academies provide fantastic support and training programmes helping young people to develop advanced theatre skills. There’s an Acting Academy and a Musical Theatre Academy, both of which actively encourage academy members to take part in productions. It’s wonderful to work with the Minack team, and to cast for our shows from their Academies – they are really supporting creative talent in Cornwall, every week of the year.
Duffy Beats The Devil, by our Artistic Director Rebecca Mordan, is an all-singing, all-dancing, thigh-slappingly funny show based on a classic Cornish tale, which we are bringing back by popular demand after its previous sold out run. We can’t wait to meet the incredible young people of the Minack Academies at Penlee Park Open Air Theatre who will bring it to life with us, and to bring this show to one of the most iconic theatres in the world.
