Jane Mcfadzean and The Wild Woman’s Hour Practitioner Team have won the Oustanding Digital Practitionar Award from the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education (NIACE).
The award will be presented today by Mark Thompson, the astronomer from Stargazing Live and The One Show, alongside representatives from LSIS and NIACE at the Innovative Learning conference at the BBC’s Salford studios. Broadcast each month on Radio St Austell Bay, Wild Woman’s Hour uses radio to give a voice to isolated women in Cornwall, and offers the chance to develop associated high level technical skills and transferable employment skills. The innovative project received Best Practice status from the European Social Fund.
