The Splendid Sisters are Melanie Young – a visual artist, and Caroline Schanche – a community dance artist.
Their collaboration has 2 main objectives:
1. To create socially engaged arts projects with diverse groups of people, particularly people who may feel excluded from mainstream culture. 2. To create beautiful performances, films and installations that shine a light on the mysterious process of grief, loss and its resolution.
The Splendid Sisters will be showing their new short film ‘The Fates’. Fusing movement, visual art and sound score, this film is inspired by Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos, the three Goddesses that hold our destinies in their hands.
