Cocktail of the Month – Winter Warmer

Happy new year! We’re kicking off 2025 with another delicious cocktail of the month – this January cosy down with our Winter Warmer ✨

To make this drink you will need:

Here, artistic director Rebecca Mordan tells us how to make this cocktail:

“So, I made this on the 12th day of Christmas, as we were taking down the tree, but also had lots of chocolate treats still to enjoy in the long evening. Reflecting on this while my partner hoovered up his body weight in pine needles, I decided this cocktail would be the perfect way to say goodbye to December, use up bits and pieces, enjoy festive flavours that one got in one’s stocking for being a good girl (!) and welcome in January…

Take the butter, spices, alcohol and maple syrup, and gently warm them on a low heat until the butter is melted and the mixture is hot but not boiling. Stir as it warms.

Grab a cup or glass (remember to keep the spoon in if you are using glass so it doesn’t shatter when the warm liquid goes in) and muddle the fruit dash in the bitters.

When the liquid in the pan is ready, pour it over the fruit mix in the cup, dig out your fave Christmas chocs you need to finish, and settle down in front of a TV show of your choice (I’m going to try the reboot of Time Bandits with mine cos it’s a nostalgic throwback that surely can only have been made better by the inclusion of Liza freakin’ Kudrow) – happy 2025!”
