DESCRIPTION:Everything you wanted to know about Scary Little Girls\, but were too afraid to ask!\nFor the first time\, SLG has been invited to present a talk about its own history – we’re very honoured and excited about this and can’t wait to entertain the wonderful Hypatia Trust\, Penzance on our favourite topic… \nBook now \nHere’s what Hypatia has to say about the event… \nScary Little Girls is a feminist production hub with a passion for stories that are little known\, historically or culturally excluded\, or told from one perspective only. \nRebecca Mordan is a hugely talented performer with a wealth of humour\, song and stories. and here she delves into the company’s past and current projects: ‘Greenham Women Everywhere’\, ‘The Mitford Sister talks’\, ‘Salon du Chocolat’\, ‘Salon du Cinema’\, ‘The Full Bronte’ and pub quiz cabaret ‘It’s Your Round\,’ and discusses their relevance to women and their popularity with diverse audiences. \nA Cornish and London based company\, SLG employs around 100 artists annually\, reaches live audiences of 25\,000\, collaborating with venues from Penzance to Edinburgh\, actively creating jobs for women\, with skills sharing for the benefit of the artistic and wider community.

SUMMARY:Greenham Exhibition (Goldsmiths\, London)
DESCRIPTION:Between August and December 2019\, Greenham Women Everywhere will be taking a pop-up exhibition on tour around the UK. \nThe exhibition will showcase some original photographs created by our team\, and also archival material\, both visual and written\, which we have collated during the project. We’ll be playing you soundscapes created by artists we have worked with which give a cross-section of the oral testimonies we have taken\, as well as using some of the wonderful Greenham music. \nThere will be a video installation which explores what political concerns and campaigns the Greenham Women are taking on today\, and there will even be a chance to meet some of the Greenham Women themselves – many will be hosting the exhibitions with us. \nAll set in a Greenham-inspired tent\, this exhibition really allows you to get an intimate look at the sights and sounds of the camp\, gives voice to these radical women and asks you what change you want to see in the world. \nDo keep an eye on the exhibition schedule for our panel talks – we’ll be running several. These are wonderful opportunities to hear from a range of Greenham Women and ask your own questions about life on camp\, as well as talk directly to the project managers about the project itself. \nOur team has been led in the exhibition design by Rachael Miles\, an artist and Senior Lecturer at The University of The West of England. \n \nWe need your support: visit our Greenham GoFundMe!
