DESCRIPTION:We’re delighted to take the Greenham Women Everywhere touring pop-up exhibition to St Agnes Library for a special week of events including a screening of new animations by students at Falmouth Film School (Friday 21 February) and a sing-a-long night with Claire Inglehart (Saturday 22 February).  Tickets for these events are available directly from the library. \nThe exhibition itself is free of charge and showcases some original photographs created by our team\, and also archival material\, both visual and written\, which we have collated during the project. DESCRIPTION:Between August and December 2019\, Greenham Women Everywhere will be taking a pop-up exhibition on tour around the UK. \nThe exhibition will showcase some original photographs created by our team\, and also archival material\, both visual and written\, which we have collated during the project. We’ll be playing you soundscapes created by artists we have worked with which give a cross-section of the oral testimonies we have taken\, as well as using some of the wonderful Greenham music. \nThere will be a video installation which explores what political concerns and campaigns the Greenham Women are taking on today\, and there will even be a chance to meet some of the Greenham Women themselves – many will be hosting the exhibitions with us. \nAll set in a Greenham-inspired tent\, this exhibition really allows you to get an intimate look at the sights and sounds of the camp\, gives voice to these radical women and asks you what change you want to see in the world. \nDo keep an eye on the exhibition schedule for our panel talks – we’ll be running several. These are wonderful opportunities to hear from a range of Greenham Women and ask your own questions about life on camp\, as well as talk directly to the project managers about the project itself. \nOur team has been led in the exhibition design by Rachael Miles\, an artist and Senior Lecturer at The University of The West of England. \n \nWe need your support: visit our Greenham GoFundMe!

SUMMARY:The Last Seance & other supernatural tales (Torquay)
DESCRIPTION:From the International Agatha Christie Festival website… \n‘From behind the curtains there still sounded the terrible high long-drawn scream – such a scream as Raoul had never heard. It died away with a horrible kind of gurgle. Then there came the thud of a body falling…’ \nAllow storytellers from award-wining theatre company Scary Little Girls to thrill and chill you in this celebration of Agatha’s darker side! Expect tales of the macabre\, the sinister\, the surreal in this special event in the twelfth century Spanish Barn at Torre Abbey for the night of Friday 13th…… \nTo coincide with the publication of a new collection which gathers together all of Christie’s spookiest and most macabre short stories\, Scary Little Girls invite you for a cosy\, intimate storytelling night to bring to life some of the most ghostly and chilling tales from Agatha Christie.  Acknowledged the world over as the undisputed Queen of Crime\, in fact she dabbled in her early writing career with mysteries of a more unearthly kind – stories featuring fantastic psychic visions\, spectres looming in the shadows\, encounters with deities\, eerie messages from the Other Side\, even a man who switches bodies with a cat… \nFor this one-off special event\, the first 50 tickets sold will each be able to collect an advance pre-release edition of The Last Séance & other supernatural tales due for release later in autumn 2019. \nBook Now
