SUMMARY:Es & Flo Opening Preview
DESCRIPTION:We will be at the opening preview for Es & Flo at the Wales Millennium Centre! \nEs and Flo fell fiercely in love in the 80s. They’ve been secretly living as lovers ever since. As Es becomes more forgetful around their home\, an unexpected carer arrives. \n Who sent this woman? Why? Can they trust her? \n As the outside world comes crashing in\, Flo fights to protect the life they’ve built together over forty years behind closed doors. And faces the hardest battle of her life – to hold on to the woman she loves. \n Coloured with memories of the Greenham Common Women’s Peace Camp – where Es and Flo first met as activists – this sharply observed new play by Jennifer Lunn celebrates the love of an older lesbian relationship\, women coming together to fight for what’s right\, and the healing power of chosen family. \nJennifer Lunn joined Greenham Women Everywhere on the 40th anniversary walk from Cardiff to Greenham in 2021\, so we are very happy to be supporting this production! \n The preview will be accompanied by a talk from our director Becca and her ukelady! \n Grab your tickets here!

SUMMARY:Riot Showgrrrls Club
DESCRIPTION:In 2008\, when lad mags were in their hay day\, cabaret meant tit tassels and female stripping and porn was being main-streamed right into our cultural veins\, Scary Little Girls bravely took a pro sex anti porn show to Edinburgh. \nWe claimed that ‘it’s an empirical fact that feminists have the best sex’ and used throbbing\, electro-pop and gleeful\, musical romps to lay out why – and how porn ruins this. \nNow in 2022\, still putting the “camp” squarely into “campaigning”\, our heroines Rebecca Mordan and Christina Li are going to use games\, comedy\, songs and hand-stamps to look at how we are faring since in these days of hyper-social media and Pornhub. \nExpect make-your-own-membership cards\, vulva cupcakes and Patriarchy Bingo in this fast paced\, fact facing\, feel good feminist fling – and there will be dancing in our revolution! \nTickets – £10\, £6 cons (we consider anyone who needs to be to be a concession\, so please pay at this price if this allows you to come along) \nGrab your tickets here!

SUMMARY:Moon Hag R&D
DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, 20 July 1969 – the night man will land on the moon. \nThe far west of Cornwall –granite and serpentine – standing stones and a Satellite Station\, under the light of the moon on which man will walk. An ancient landscape at the cutting edge of the modern technology that will broadcast this historic moment into the homes of the UK. \nThree women artists\, each as old as the century – a sculptor\, a painter and a theatre-maker – are tuning in to witness this moment. Post-husband\, post-children\, or any wish or expectation of them–they all landed here from up-country and have lived within a few square miles\, without knowing each other\, since the 1940s. \nEach has found her perfect self in solitude\, with the means to claim a space of her own. Each has shaped\, through her vision and her hands\, and her love of the moon\, a version of Cornwall which is beamed down the years. \nBut there is a shadow-woman behind them: she has been here all along\, with the moon\, and the sea and the stone circles she helped to build. There is a line from her Bronze Age moon worship\, through the art and moon landings of the 1960s\, to 2025 when Goonhilly technology is preparing to put a woman on the moon. \nThis is about women in Cornwall\, under and on the moon: how each shapes and is shaped by the other down the years. \nPlease note that this is a private R&D event so no tickets are available

SUMMARY:Salon du Chocolat
DESCRIPTION:Allow performers from Scary Little Girls to stimulate your senses! \nThis intimate storytelling salon celebrates the relationship between cocoa nibs and forbidden literature… \nWhen chocolate was first brought to England in the 1600s\, it was considered a taboo substance\, enjoyed only by the risque and elite in private salons. Some of our finest literature was also once considered too provocative for public consumption and was heard in similar salon environments by only the boldest of ears. \nWe recreate these intimate environs\, combining mouth-watering chocolate treats with tales of the secret\, banned and scandalous from authors such as Lord Byron\, John Donn\, Angela Carter and Joanne Harris. \nPerformed\, read and sung to you by our highly acclaimed storytellers\, the Salon du Chocolat invites you to succumb to a literary seduction! \nGrab your tickets here!
